On May 20, 2021 we traded in our 2006 Diplomat that we had owned for over 13 years and started our new journey with a 2022 Quantum JM31 Class C motorhome. This was not a spontaneous move and had been in our minds for about three years. In June of 2020 we started getting serious and purchased a 2020 Chevy Sonic as a toad. This vehicle only weighs about 2700 pounds and can be towed behind almost any motorhome. We had been towing a 6000 pound pickup truck behind our diesel pusher but knew that would not work for a downsized motorhome. We actually ordered the Quantum in January after visiting the Tampa RV Show. Once back home we began the process of moving things out of the Diplomat and only leaving stuff in the larger coach that would be moved to the Quantum. Mind you this was not all the things we planned to carry in the Quantum but those that we felt were necessary to spend a week down in Florida checking out the new motorhome. It still was a tiring half day moving things from the old coach to the new coach.

Here we are at the dealership with the two coaches parked side by side.

First campsite after leaving the dealership.

We decided to start this blog to keep track of modifications and repairs that we make to the Quantum. We have already seen posts from other JM31 owners wanting information on how to install a washer/dryer in the Quantum. That is the first project we completed and made sure to take lots of photos that will be helpful to others wanting to do the same.

  1. We have 9000 miles on our 2021 JM31 now, with a Jeep Wrangler as a toad for 8000 of that. It's in getting some warranty work done now. I can't wait to get it back. We love it!

Keep up the blog. I love what you're doing.
